Who we are
Chapada Mar is a tour agency based in Lençóis, Bahia, Brazil. This policy explains what data we collect on this site and how we use it.
Contact form data
When you fill out the contact form, we collect your name, email, phone, package of interest and message. We use this only to reply to your request — we never sell or share it for marketing purposes.
Site usage metrics
We keep our own count of page views and of clicks on the WhatsApp button, without cookies: each visitor becomes a code generated from IP and browser combined with a secret key, valid for one day only. That code cannot be traced back to a person, and the real IP is never stored.
To find out which city a visit came from, your IP is looked up on ip-api.com (United States) on the spot — it is not saved anywhere, only the city name is kept.
Google Analytics (cookies)
With your consent (banner shown on first visit), we use Google Analytics to understand where visitors come from and which pages are most viewed. Google Analytics sets cookies (`_ga`, `_ga_*`) in your browser and sends usage data to Google LLC, subject to Google's own privacy policy.
You can decline in the banner, or reset your choice anytime by clearing this site's data in your browser settings — the banner will show again on your next visit.
Your rights (data protection law)
You may request at any time: confirmation of what data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, and information on who we share it with (only Google, and only if you accepted Analytics).
How long we keep data
Contact form messages are kept as long as useful for customer service. Our own metrics are anonymous by design. Google Analytics cookies follow Google's standard retention period (13 months).
